I work at the intersection of energy markets, organizational growth, and coalition leadership — helping institutions navigate complex transitions with clarity, alignment, and practical momentum.
For more than two decades, I’ve collaborated with companies, policymakers, advocates, and industry leaders working toward a cleaner, more affordable, and more resilient energy future. My work has consistently focused on translating complexity into strategy, building alignment across diverse stakeholders, and helping organizations move from vision to execution.
I’m the founder of Charrette Strategies, where I advise mission-driven organizations at critical moments of growth and change. That work spans strategic direction-setting, revenue model development, leadership alignment, coalition design, and market positioning, grounded in real-world constraints and opportunities.
Alongside advisory work, I write, speak, and convene conversations about the evolving energy landscape, organizational strategy, and the human realities of navigating complex systems. I’m particularly interested in how clarity, trust, and shared understanding accelerate progress.
I spent nearly fourteen years at Advanced Energy United, where I helped build the organization into a national voice for clean energy companies and solutions. My roles there spanned strategic growth, membership development, communications leadership, and coalition-building, culminating as Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing.
My background in architecture continues to shape how I approach strategy — as both a creative and structural discipline. I’m drawn to work that connects vision with execution, strengthens organizations, and brings people together to move important work forward.
If you’re exploring ideas, convening conversations, or navigating a strategic inflection point, I’m always open to thoughtful dialogue.
Testimonials
I’ve had the opportunity to work with Laura over many years, including as she helped build Advanced Energy United from a young organization into a respected national voice for clean energy. Laura has an uncommon ability to pair vision with execution. She is highly organized, collaborative, and strategic. With roots in architecture, she thinks like both a visionary and a builder, consistently treating challenges as opportunities to move work to the next level.

President and CEO, Advanced Energy United
I met Laura at an American Association of Blacks in Energy event in Houston, which is hilarious because we live just miles apart in the Northeast and somehow had to fly halfway across the country to meet. From the moment we connected, she was genuinely warm and welcoming and immediately introduced me to one of her board colleagues, an introduction that became one of BT2 Energy’s very first pieces of business. That early opportunity helped establish our past performance and credibility as a brand-new company. Laura does not just talk about supporting others; she truly opens doors, and her impact on our journey is something I will always be grateful for.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Laura for some time, and I can say with confidence that she brings rare strength, vision, and integrity to every role she undertakes. Her principles combined with her unique blend of creative, analytical, and organizational skills make an anomaly in the energy industry. Laura's leadership style combines her big-picture vision with practical execution, translating complex challenges into clear priorities and rallying people around shared goals. I’ve seen this firsthand: she doesn’t just plan, instead she drives results. She’s equally proficient building teams, managing projects, and nurturing collaboration.
On top of that, Laura communicates with clarity and empathy. She has a talent for making complicated ideas accessible and ensuring that everyone on the team feels heard and engaged. In group settings, she brings calm, structure, and thoughtful facilitation.
